On the night of Tuesday 7 December 2021, the Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) engaged in a ground assault on the small town of Villa Victoria, Michoacán supported by weaponized drones armed with explosives. Homes were targeted with significant damage ensuing while local residents either fled or hid in their bathrooms and bedrooms. The attackers were driven off but regrouped and engaged in a two-hour assault the next morning before being once again repulsed by Federal forces...
