An anarcha-feminist group has been linked to a Santa Muerte altar found in a squat house (known as Okupa Cuba) in Mexico City, Mexico. The building was raided on 15 April 2022 by the Fiscalía General de Justicia (FGJ) and Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC) de Ciudad de México. A group of four women who lived in the squat were involved in petty criminal activity including street violence, vandalism, and related activities. The police operation took place following an attack by those women upon a 72-year-old university professor who was driving her vehicle past the squat.
