Cartel CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) surveillance and security systems have been documented as existing in Reynosa, Tamaulipas as early as May 2015. These systems have also been reported to be deployed within a number of different urban areas in Northeastern Mexico. This note is an update on cartel related CCTV activity following the earlier note: “Cártel del Golfo (CDG) CCTV Cameras Seized in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí” published on 7 November 2021.[1] CCTV systems utilized by the Mexican authorities have also been established and are now coordinated by the C-5 program, with thousands of cameras deployed throughout more than twenty towns within Tamaulipas state...
