Matt Begert and Robert J. Bunker participate in GCTF Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems and New, Emerging, and Disruptive Technologies Initiative Dialogue

On 11 & 12 June 2024 Matt Begert, C/O Futures director of counter-terrorism training and red teaming, and Dr. Robert J. Bunker, director of research and analysis and a managing partner of C/O Futures, participated in the virtual Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) and New, Emerging, and Disruptive Technologies Initiative, Exploratory Dialogue. The virtual activity was well attended and had delegates from many countries and groups in attendance. GCTF C-UAS will provide an information release related to this activity in the future.

Per GCTF C-UAS:

The Initiative will include the potential security impact of three key types of emerging technologies:

1. artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML);

2. production of Small and Light Weapons (SALW) through 3D printing and related mechanisms; and

3. the expanding nature of unmanned systems to sea, land, and air domains.
