A small Cártel del Golfo (CDG) closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera network was dismantled and seized in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí by the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP) San Luis Potosí and the Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA) on Wednesday 13 October 2021. The use of such CCTV surveillance networks was first documented in May 2015 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas and they appear to still be active in CDG areas of urban territorial control.
